After a seclusion of over a year, the Bretonnians of Lestanne have been forced upon the battlefield once again, no longer able to ignore the gorwing threats of these dangerous lands.

Unfortunately the noble knights appear rusty after their long absence. A patrol designed to dislodge a neaby Dwarf expedition force only drove the doughty warriors to a standstill before the knights were recalled to Lestanne. More worringly the Caledonian Elves are encroaching close to Lestanne, their expanding forest surrounding half the city. The Bretonnians despatched a force to parlay with the Wood Elves, but were attacked and wiped out. It seems the alliance between the two sides in Bretonnia and Loren is not as strong here. Will the Elves dare besiege Lestanne?

The Bretonnians have few allies. A border skirmish took place between the knights and a group from the south. It is reported that this force were human, though why they returned to the land belonging to the Vampires of Castle Vendrak is unknown. Are the Vampires stiring again?

Elsewhere, many forces have been gathering supplies and digging in for the winter months. Not everywhere though - the dastardly Skaven, lead by a Warlord new to the area, errupted from their tunnels to attack a Dwarven outpost near Karak Ruffdrak. The rat-men were beaten back after fierce close combat.

In other news, it has been reported that a fleet of strange looking ships from far across the seas, have landed neas Kassos, in the south-west. The warriors disgorged from the ships have allied themselves with the prince of Kassos - no doubt the prince is worried about the Dark Elves slowly advancing down the coasts, and the recent signs of activity in the evil Achaes Forest. What impact these strange warriors will have upon the Border Princes is currently unknown.
